Learn to love playing the piano from the inside out—by understanding the fundamentals so you can create and recreate music for personal enjoyment and to share with others. Joining children, youth, and adults in developing your musical talents and gifts is my privelege. I teach beginner-intermediate piano students. I tailor the focus and styles of music to your needs and preferences and include training for success.

I am a life-long musician with a music degree (vocal and keyboards) from Messiah College. I also direct the music and worship ministries for my congregation.

• Lesson Details *
  Lessons are 1/2 hour to 1 hour a week and include music theory, piano technique, and performance songs. Please make sure the student has ready access to a keyboard or piano and has a scheduled 20-30 minute practice time every day. Learning to play the piano well is a long-term commitment of several years.

I strive for a positive, friendly atmosphere, with praise for incremental progress and encouragement for areas of improvement. Students use the Alfred series and other supplements, graded to the student’s age, ability and interests.

  Home- studio in a large living room with spacious seating for parents

• Specialties *
  I teach a well-rounded approach, combining technique, theory, and songs from various musical styles in a graded, graduated progression. Then I supplement with additional music according to the interests and advancing ability of the student to play the piano.
