I have worked with various populations in differing capacities. My most recent tutoring venue was with Lincoln University where I taught remedial writing to college students. Most of these young adults needed basic grammar and could neither read nor write above a fourth grade level. During that time I presented “mini-lessons” on grammar, worked with individual learners on their essays, and prepared materials for lessons in grammar and in African-American History.
