Italian tutor for any level
I’m Italian born and raised, but have lived in the USA since 2011 because of my American husband. I’ve taught Italian at Temple University in Philadelphia for 2 years. I then moved to Atlanta, and now I’m steady in Pittsburgh, PA. I have a Bachelor’s in history, a specialization in intercultural mediation and I have a Certification of Teaching Italian as a Second Language from Italian Universities.

Testimonials
Nancy F. from Atlanta, GA At our first meeting, Chiara asked me about my interests and goals and has gone the extra mile to design her lessons around them. I have been very impressed with the amount of advance preparation she brings to our lessons, as well as the materials she provides me for independent study. She is an expert at when and how much to correct my speaking so that I continue to improve but don't get overwhelmed by having all my errors brought to my attention. Since I have a variable schedule, Chiara has been very flexible with the day and time of our weekly lessons. She is an upbeat, patient and smart teacher.
Sharon M. from Alpharetta, GA I am a teacher and Chiara is excellent. She prepares her lessons well, explains Italian culture, shows incredible patience for a beginning student. I would recommend her to anyone.
George B. from Greensburg, PA In addition to helping me improve my intermediate-level speaking skills, Chiara engaged me in areas of interest to me such as Italian art, music, history, and customs. I travel to Italy every year or two and usually make Florence my base. Chiara was born, raised, and educated there, so her insider information and advice are invaluable resources for a tourist who looks to go beyond the usual guidebook suggestions. Her at-home assignments were challenging, instructive, and geared to my interests. She is a whiz at finding sites on the internet to supplement the lessons. This is not a sideline for her; she is an expert and consummate professional. There were no posted reviews of Chiara when I was casting about for a tutor. Lucky strike, indeed.
