Richard’s passion—-a level playing field
When I graduated, I had a double major: English and education. I wanted to be sure that I knew a subject and how to get it across. For 50 years, I have been working on both ideas in a single focus, getting a better understanding of how to help students learn. I pursued that end at the University of the Pacific and earned an MA in the teaching of English.
About that time, a college hired me because of the quality of students that I had taught. I taught in the English department for four years…
