I needed to have refreshed the grammar and vocabulary already received and, as a customer service representative for a large company servicing all of North America, I was looking to receive assistance in providing professional customer service to Francophone customers in Quebec, both via correspondence and by telephone. Most of all, since the majority of my customer service activity was by correspondence, I needed to practice speaking and hearing in French because I was having difficulty understanding what was being said by callers, and I was also losing confidence in my ability to communicate clearly with those callers. Nelly began by simple conversation, ascertaining my skill level, then we worked specifically with customer service language and etiquette, then we started in on vocabulary, grammar, dictation, and diction. My comfort level at work has improved so much! Throughout our time together, Nelly has recommended some excellent online resources, and we've held interesting if simple discussions in French about various French authors and artists. Her interest in and knowledge of French culture, art and history is deep and her love of sharing what she loves - including her love of the French language! - has been apparent throughout, and makes each visit especially interesting. All in all, I could not have asked for a better instructor, and I could not recommend her services highly enough.
