She was transferring to a school that did not offer Mandarin and she decided to go back to French since she had enjoyed it before. My daughter has an ear for language; however, I thought that she would potentially be a year behind in middle school French since she had not had French in 2 years, and it was important to us that she enter the 7th grade going into 7th grade French. We set up a tutoring session with James. James arrived promptly and worked from the text book that we had borrowed from the school district. He was friendly, pleasant and flexible. He was an effective and competent tutor. We booked him for an hour and he was able to stay longer as it turned out that my daughter had the stamina for up to three hours of French tutoring at a time. We thought James was perfect for the job. My daughter made it into 7th grade French and will probably be in honors French next year. The teacher said that my daughter was more technically advanced than her other students since the teacher had spent 6th grade more on an intro/conversational class. We highly recommend James.

James was very patient with them and taught in a way that really sparked their interest. He rehearsed different situations and introductions with them and gave them tips on handshakes, eye contact, posture and conversation. He also gave them great tips on making presentations at school and different relaxation techniques. They both enjoyed their lesson with James very much.
