Teaching piano is my passion.

I hold a bachelor’s degrees from Shenyang Conservatory of Music in China in musicology, two master’s degree from Texas Tech University and West Texas A&M University in piano pedagogy and piano performance, and a doctor of musical arts degree (the music version of a PhD) from University of Alabama.

I have been teaching piano since I was 18 years old, and have found it to be the most rewarding aspect of being an artist. Not only do I have the opportunity to guide the next generation of young musicians, but teaching also gives me the opportunity to learn about myself and humanity itself.
