Great at increasing reading and reading comprehension skills.

Dear students,

My name is Meagan and I have been tutoring and/or teaching in some capacity for the last four years. I’ve had two jobs that have had a strong impact on me. One of my favorite jobs was as a reading tutor for Sullivan Learning Systems where I worked with students one-on-one and am proud to say that one of my eighth grade students who was at a sixth grade reading level when I started tutoring him rose to a ninth grade reading level by the time we finished our seven weeks of …

Rose C. from Carmichael, CA We've enjoyed having Meagan work with our son on his reading. She's very patient with his fidgety personality and comes up with fun learning games that keep him focused. Update 6/19/14: Our son enjoys having Meagan visit. Learning is fun time for him and he stays much more focused with her. She is able to keep his attention. We're increasing his tutoring by one extra day for a while over the summer. Update 6/30/14/ Meagan and our son are still doing great. I'd give her 5 stars, but no one attains perfection. She's been great and accommodating as well.

Catherine L. from Sacramento, CA Meagan does a great job of keeping my girls focused. She is calm and firm, but playful. Upon my request she will create games that target specific needs (this month it's decoding bigger words by breaking them into the prefix like "con, dis, un, pre" then a root word, and a suffix like able, ible, tion). My girls are doing great now, and when they come across words in 3rd and 4th grade chapter books, they read "imaginative, prevented, disagreeable, or interesting" with ease, rather than being scared or guessing.
