Lisa H. from San Jose, CA Susan came prepared with montessori and traditional materials. She moved through a tremendous amount of material using subjects that fascinated my child. I highly recommend Susan as she is kind, detailed, serious and fun. Looking forward to another session!

Patty B. from Los Gatos, CA We are very happy so far. I am very pleased with her preparation and use of manipulatives for every session. My son always looks forward to his sessions with Susan. Susan has been my son's tutor now for 4 months and we are so pleased with his progress in reading, writing and math.

Anne A. from San Jose, CA Susan arrived 10 minutes late for my son's initial trial lesson and was in a frazzled state. My first impression wasn't very positive, but I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt as she may be having an off day. During the first lesson, she performed an informal assessment to determine my son's reading level. After her lesson, I asked my son how he felt about Susan being his tutor. He said she was okay and said he didn't have fun learning how to read. After the 1 hr session, she was able to provide my husband and I very helpful insights on my son's strengths and weaknesses. I appreciated the input; however, during this time I didn't realize until a couple of days later that I was being billed for 30 minutes of consultation in addition to the 1 hr trial lesson. This surprise charge caught me off guard because I was never informed of consultation fees before nor after the trial lesson. I didn't even realize she was performing a consultation with my husband and I as we were simply trying to get to know her better as a tutor to determine if she would be a good fit for our son. I understand that she needs to earn a living and I support teachers, but disclosure and transparency at the onset are very important when establishing a tutor-client relationship. As a result, I lost trust in Susan and decided that she was not the right fit for my son and the family. Susan did eventually credit me the consultation fee. I am very grateful for the fee adjustment. I wish Susan well.
