And, the lessons on Skype make it very convenient. Bravo Pamela!

I am impressed with my son's progress in terms of pronunciation, vocabulary and conversation. I also noticed that he is fascinated with anything with a French origin that he encounters either in his other subject studies or in real life. Pamela is well prepared for each lesson. My son loves the games and activities she brought to the lessons. They make the one hour lesson go by so fast and the memorization so much easier. I am grateful that Pamela is serious about my son?s learning progress. Review on 10/13/2011: Pamela speaks fluent English. Her communication is very clear. She has very pleasant presentation and knows how to engage and talk to kids. My son who is 8 years old naturally feels comfortable around and interested in her. Pamela is very patient. She takes time to correct my son's pronunciations. I noticed that she knows when to stop correcting him after certain times, then gave him praises and encouragement and moved on to the next, but later came back to further correct him until my son finds the correct way. I never sense my son being frustrated during the lesson. Pamela is well prepared for her lesson. She brings with her teaching materials that are age appropriate. Her lesson is organized and flowing. During the one hour lesson, my son was fully focused yet he did not complain about it being long at all. After Pamela left, my son told me it was fun!

As an adult with solid but rusty French skills, I sought practice conversing in French in hopes of regaining both confidence and facility with the language. Our conversations (entirely in French except when I toss in an English word and she supplies the translation) are animated and wide ranging. Pamela has brought articles to read and discuss, but often we just talk - about our lives, views, experiences, cultures, and more. She corrects my errors but there is nothing didactic in her manner. Rather I look forward each week to the gift of spending an hour exchanging ideas with a lively and interesting new friend.
