April S. from Spring, TX Over the past view sessions, she has helped my son with translations of current event articles. Also, she has helped him write and formulate essay responses to debate topics. Her assistance helped him receive a 4 on his AP-style French essay, as well as a 4 on his e-mail response (both are parts of the AP test - getting a 4 is very nice). She has also been correcting my son as he reads from The Chronicles of Narnia (in French, of course). She also speaks to him in French (even though he is kind of reluctant; he can understand what she says, for the most part, but has some difficulty in responding). He plans to print out debate topics and work with her on them. Her work over the few weeks we have been with her, so far, has benefited my son in both his speaking, writing, and comprehension skills - at this rate, I do believe that he will do well on the AP test (however, his goal of speaking in French may be a bit harder). His grade in AP French IV has risen to a 92. 12/6/12 update: his grade has risen to a 96! 06/2013 update: Passed AP test and was able to get credit at A&M for two French classes. (8 college units)
