Huan began studying Chinese martial arts in 1982. He is the chief instructor of MIT Tai Chi and Kung Fu Club. Huan’s articles have been featured in Tai Chi International Magazines and Tai Chi – Spirit of Kung Fu, a premiere magazine in China. He has been interviewed by Boston’s Channel 5( WCVB), AM1470 and NECN. He was also mentioned by many other media such as Qi Journal, Sing Tao Daily, Dirty Water News, and Boston metro, etc… His first book “Beyond the Tai Chi footprint” was published in 2006. In addition, he has contributed a chapter on Tai Chi and exercise for a University text book “OM for Independent Living – Strategies for Teaching Orientation and Mobility to Older Adults” (Published in 2016). Huan also played as a Tai Chi teacher on film “Simulacrum” which showed at Tsai Performance Center at Boston University in May, 2012.

Huan has done lectures and demonstrations at Harvard University, MIT, MIT Lincoln Lab, Hanscom Air Force Base, World Trade Center Boston, 1st Night Boston, Northeastern University, and many other places.
