Bright Start, located in Cameron Station, in Alexandria, Virginia, was founded by Kerri Chase in February 2005. Ms. Chase had been an attorney in Washington D.C. before hanging up her business suit to pursue this venture.
At Bright Start, children from 6 weeks to 5 years old enjoy a state-of-the-art facility that is designed to help them develop cognitively, socially, physically, and emotionally in a manner appropriate to their age and stage of development. Children are encouraged to learn, play, and explore and have the opportunity to participate in numerous group and individual activities. Bright Starts age appropriate curriculum coupled with a custom designed facility and a low teacher to child ratio ensure a top tier service for the children and their parents.
Bright Start is open from from 7:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. We are closed for all Federal Holidays and follow the Alexandria City Schools for snow closings.

Bright Start Learning Center aims to provide welcoming, nurturing, and loving day care for children in a secure environment. In our open floor plan of seven naturally lit classrooms, our caring staff makes it their business to greet each family that walks through our doors. Surrounded by the colors of comfort in each classroom, children from the ages of six weeks through five years old explore and experience their environment through activities guided by our experienced and trained lead teachers who implement their classroom programs with the support of their assistant teachers.
