Welcome to Young School of Kendall Ridge, located in Columbia! Our school is conveniently located in the Long Reach Village area of Columbia across from the Long Reach Community Pool.
We’re honored to have been the first Young School and have continued serving children as young as infants up through pre-kindergarten to this day. We offer flexible full- and part-time schedule options in our programs to meet your family’s needs. Our curriculum is inspired by two internationally acclaimed programs: Resources for Infant Educarers (RIE) and the Reggio Emilia approach.
Classes are taught by our dedicated teaching staff who participate in ongoing professional development and training, including maintaining current Infant/Child First Aid and CPR certifications.

For over 20 years, The Young School has prepared young people for their future through an innovative preschool education program. The Young School pioneered the Cottage learning environment for infants (8 wks 2 yrs) through Pre-K (2-5 yrs).

At The Young School, we believe that children are active constructors of their own knowledge, exploring and initiating their own learning based on natural curiosity.
