Clarlen Nursery, Inc. is a private, non-sectarian preschool for three and four year old children. Under the direction of qualified early childhood teachers, we plan activities and experiences that promote maximum growth in all areas of a childs intellectual, social, physical, emotional and creative development. A wide variety of materials and equipment are available to each child.
Clarlen Nursery holds high the aim for the child to feel a trusting companionship with children his own age, to find guidance from helpful as well as firm adults and to feel prized and respected away from home. Clarlen Nursery holds high the aim for the child to feel a trusting companionship with children his own age, to find guidance from helpful as well as firm adults and to feel prized and respected away from home. Learning to trust and share, fail and succeed and to be loved and respected for ones self is so important for a three and four year old child. Clarlen Nursery has time and space, indoors and outdoors, for trying new skills and practicing them. The child will be in a situation where he can make choices, where he can work out many problems by himself, not at first perhaps, but eventually as he learns by doing and redoing. He will learn independence and a responsibility for his own behavior, as well as sympathy and compassion for others.
Social development and the relaxed enjoyment of learning in a classroom situation are high priorities at Clarlen Nursery.
At Clarlen Nursery the child will be able to observe, investigate and play with things and ideas. The people, the place, the equipment, the atmosphere and the opportunities will be different from those at home.
