The Trinity School Pre-Kindergarten (Pre-K) program is grounded in a loving, nurturing, Christian atmosphere of acceptance, recognizing each child as a unique individual created and gifted by God. Our program provides a bridge for the student between home and school; playing a significant role in the physical, emotional, spiritual, intellectual and social development of the child. Our curriculum is based on developmentally appropriate practice utilizing an integrated thematic approach to learning. It is designed to facilitate a smooth transition into, and success in Kindergarten.
Trinity Extended Day Program (Club TED)
Trinity Extended Day (TED) is a licensed after-school program offering a nurturing and fun-filled environment. Our program includes a balance of structured activities, free play, and homework time. Sports, games, and arts & crafts are part of our daily activities. We also enjoy holiday parties, such as the pumpkin patch party at Halloween, Mardi Gras, the Easter Egg Hunt, and pizza parties. Special activities include dance parties, educational presentations, monthly movies, nature walks, bird watching, and a specialized art program that includes origami and modern art. Older students attending TED are provided a forum exclusively for study and homework.
We have several theme weeks throughout the year. These include a fantasy trip to the islands in mid-winter during Luau Week, Insect Week when we all go a little bit “buggy” and Cinco de Mayo week in May. Other special events include the “Pot O Gold” treasure hunt during St. Patrick’s week and the annual TED TOG (Tournament of Games).
Students may participate in TED FIT sports, Drama Club, Recorder Club, baking and knitting. Through outreach projects to the Grassroots homeless shelter, the troops, and local retirement communities students can earn service points. Healthy snacks are provided daily.
