Arkansas offers help paying for child care to low-income residents of its state. The state’s Child Care Assistance program strives to make quality care more affordable for those who could otherwise not afford it. The Child Care Development Fund pays it for the program. Families may qualify if they meet specific income guidelines and have a child under 12 years old. Each adult in the family must also work at least 30 hours each week to be eligible for financial child care aid. Even if a family qualifies for the program, depending on their income level and household size, they may still be held responsible for a portion of the child care costs. Visit Child Care Assistance for more information.
