The state of Michigan offers child care payment assistance through Michigan’s Child Development and Care Program. Some reasons a family or parent may qualify for Michigan’s help paying for child care include pursing a high school degree, work, family preservation or participation in specifically approved activities such as work training or educational programs. Only licensed care providers are allowed to participate in the Child Development and Care Program, assuring children receive quality care. Family’s annual incomes must fall below the state’s guidelines in order to qualify. To apply for Michigan’s Child Development and Care Programs, visit the Apply for Child Care Assistance page.
