Mississippi offers a federally funded program called the Mississippi Child Care Payment Program. The program is meant to help parents pay for child care. Parents must meet work and income guidelines in order to be eligible for the program. Even those who qualify will still be expected to pay a co-pay, or a portion of the care’s monthly fee. The program is only offered to children under 13 years old or those under 19 if they have a disability. The program is divided into four sections, ranging from those on TANF to those at risk of going on TANF. For help, call the Child Care Payment Program at 1-800-877-7882 or visit the online application form to apply.
