Child Care Assistance in Wisconsin

31 August 2013

Wisconsin Shares is a child care subsidy program run by the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families. It’s available for eligible families who need help affording child care. To qualify, children must be under 13 years-old or those under 19 who have special needs. Teen parents may be eligible if they are still pursing their high school degree. Parents who participate in a W-2 employment program or receive food stamps may also be able to enroll in Wisconsin Shares. To participate, families must meet specific income-based guidelines. Go to the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families’ page on Wisconsin Shares to learn more.
